Die Verwertung von Bodenmaterialien ist für die Kreislaufwirtschaft von hoher Bedeutung. Die geplante Novelle der BBodSchV enthält neue Vorgaben hinsichtlich des Auf- und Einbringens von Bodenmaterialien unterhalb oder außerhalb einer durchwurzelbaren Bodenschicht. Es soll ermöglicht werden, Bodenmaterialien mit Feststoffgehalten von regulierten Stoffen zwischen dem einfachen und doppelten Vorsorgewert zu verwerten unter der Voraussetzung, dass die Eluatwerte eingehalten werden.

The recycling of soil-like materials is of high relevance for the circular economy. The planned amendment to the German Federal Soil Protection and Contaminated Sites Ordinance contains new requirements regarding the application of soillike materials below or outside of a rootable soil layer. It is intended to enable the utilisation of soil-like materials containing regulated substances between the single and double precautionary threshold value in solid matter, provided the new limit values for the eluate are complied with. In a research project, various soil-like materials were investigated regarding the effects of the new requirements on the classification. The results indicate additional recycling potential particularly for soil-like materials containing PAH when the new regulations were adopted.
